Rachel zoekt: Een Huurwoning / Appartement in Utrecht

My name is Rachel Taylor, and together with my fiancé, Leendert van Dalsen, we are relocating to the Netherlands from the UK, with the goal of moving in by 26th January 2026.

We are moving to The Netherlands as I have a new job beginning in the New Year. We are both scientists, having studied chemistry together at Trinity College Dublin in Ireland. We have been in the UK for the last 5 years as we both completed postgraduate degrees and then began our working careers.

My new role is in the global marketing team for Phenomenex, looking after new brand releases in the pharmaceutical division of our company. My gross monthly income will be €5,600.
Leendert is currently job hunting as this move is driven by my new position. He has a PhD in synthetic organic chemistry, and worked in Sai Life Sciences in the UK as a process chemist, where his monthly income was £3,300.

We are non-smokers and maintain a quiet, responsible home life. We take great care of where we live and always maintain respectful relationships with neighbours and landlords. We have been in our current apartment for the last 4 years.

We are both competitive sportspeople and have each represented Ireland in our respective sports - golf and flag football. Sport keeps us very busy, but our other hobbies include hiking, cooking, art, and playing video games.

We do not currently have pets, although we are hoping to adopt a small cat/dog when we move, so a pet-friendly residence would be preferable.
